Lima, Here we come!

We wrote a while back about our gap in funding and our search for additional support.  Well, since then we haven’t said much about it at all.  The main reason  is because we been so busy working on it that we haven’t sat down to communicate about it.  We’ve been talking with churches and individuals all over the place… of course, that includes many of you.  Throughout this struggle through depression that Stacy just wrote about and our support needs  we have learned over and over again that God will provide for us in a way that only he can do.

Well… he’s done it again, this time hrough the support of many friends and family, our brothers and sisters in Christ at King’s Crossing in Corpus Christi and especially our home away from home in Sugar Land, First Colony.

While we don’t have 100% of our long-term goal, with the support of all of those people added to the support of our sponsoring church in Kaufman, we now find ourselves in a position to leave for Peru!  In fact, it’s official… on Monday night we purchased tickets to Lima, Peru on August 18th! Wow, that’s just 3 weeks away!  So, over the next few weeks we’ll be packing up our stuff, stuffing the 8 bags Continental will allow us to take up to the gills with whatever we can fit, getting rid of the rest, selling our car, cleaning and moving out of our house, rounding up all the last minute things we need and spending the last week here in the US of A in Kaufman with our sponsoring church… then off to Lima!
